Happy New Year Everyone!
Wow! Another year just went by, and another New Year is upon us. Is it just me, or is time flying by faster each year?!
On the last night of 2012, Matt and I completely winged it… He flew in on Friday 12/28, and we were very lucky to snatch the very last room available at the beautiful Inn at the Market in the heart of Pike Place Market downtown Seattle. We literally made reservations the night before NYE, and thought we could figure out the rest once we were down there.
Matt coordinated reservations for two at a nice restaurant, and we even made a special trip to one of my favorite “Paris in Seattle” type of restaurants just for dessert. We were beyond lucky hailing cabs all night and eventually made it to The Edgewater Hotel just in time to find a perfect spot along the waterfront to bring in The New Year together with a perfect view of the Space Needle.
After the fireworks we leisurely walked back along the waterfront to our hotel and went up on the roof deck to soak in the city lights before calling it a night… Once we were back in our room we caught the rerun of New York’s celebration and did the countdown again 🙂 I think we conked out by 2AM. Ragers!
To be perfectly honest, our night was damn near perfect!
