First and foremost I’d like to thank all my prayer warriors out there. When I sent this facebook message out (photo below) on Wednesday afternoon I was sitting in a waiting room with my parents. I barely had any cell phone service and was lucky to get the post out because I really felt the pull to reach out for a prayer chain. So.. thank you 🙂
A couple Sunday’s ago, Speechless Sunday #33 reminded [us] to: “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” – 1 Peter 5:7
Without getting into the details of the above in this Speechless Sunday post, let’s just say we were hoping for impressive improvement to be discovered, and we didn’t exactly get that. However, I woke up to this scripture the very next day, which anointed me and I hope it comforted my Mom and Dad as much as it did me: “For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, says the Lord.” – Jeremiah 30:17
And then just yesterday I woke up to this: “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God.” – Philippians 4:6
Prayer is our lifeline, isn’t it? It’s a conversation between us and the Lord, and I don’t do it near enough — even now. I think I’m the type of person that will always tell myself, “you can do better” so I won’t beat myself up too much, but I can’t stress enough how important and powerful prayer is.
Please keep my family in your thoughts and prayers. And by all means, leave any prayer requests you may have in a comment below or email me directly. 🙂
