Remember when I was obsessed with Kale Chips? Well… I still am! About a month ago (maybe longer?!) Rhythm Superfoods hit me up on Twitter asking me if I had ever tried their Kale Chips–and when I said I hadn’t, they immediately sent me a bag of their Zesty Nacho Kale Chips! How sweet is that?!
I immediately ripped open the bag of Kale Chips and was greeted with a burst of Southwest flavors in every crunchy bite. These chips were made to perfection — the chips were light and airy, yet crispy and heavily PACKED with flavor!
I literally tasted every single ingredient in each bite, which left a lasting and enjoyable taste in my mouth after I polished the bag…
Speaking of ingredients, they only use organic clean ingredients — the Zesty Nacho Kale Chips consists of: organic kale, organic sunflower seeds, organic tahini, organic carrot powder, organic spices, organic red bell pepper powder, organic apple cider vinegar, organic lemon juice concentrate, organic evaporated cane juice, sea salt.
Because I’m such an ingredient/label nazi I’m only leery of the:
- Organic Spices (That’s a pretty broad statement!)
- Lemon Juice Concentrate (I don’t like anything from concentrate)
- Evaporate Cane Juice (Not sure WHY that’s even in there, but I’ll let it slide since it’s second to last on the list, and isn’t the typical refined “sugar”)
The only other concern I have [right now] because money has been super tight, is that these buggahs are about $7 a bag (2oz a bag) and I WHOOF them down way too fast. This is why I tend to buy bunches of organic kale for $1-$3 and make my own Kale Chips at home — However, I will say I have been lazy in the kitchen lately and these are fabulous “go-to-treats”.
If you haven’t tried Rhythm Superfood Kale Chips yet, you definitely should! They offer five flavors, all of which have clean ingredients:
