Tech-y Tuesday | 808 Shells Review + Giveaway!

I am so beyond excited to share with you all today a company I am long overdue raving about…

808 Shells is a Maui-based company focused on quality Island-Style iPhone 4 and 4S covers. They are made with a durable 2-piece rubberized polycarbonate (PC) with very attractive Polynesian Designs and prints.

These designs are created by talented Hawai’i tattoo artists and are permanently laser-engraved on an anodized aluminum backplate. All cases come with a limited 1-year warranty covering factory flaws or defects and a 30-day return policy on their website.

When I first connected with Dan, the Owner of 808 Shells, they had three aluminum cases..

Black Polynesian Shell, Blue Mo’o Shell, and Pink Honu Shell

However, in four short months Dan and his team have busted out two additional colors as well as two more designs that are already in production…

Stingray Shells

Dolphin Shells

And have even added customization including choice of color AND design — talk about a winning combination!

Local engraving = Custom combinations for everyone!

The success of 808 Shells is growing everyday, and I couldn’t be more proud of this local company spreading it’s wings. I want to assist in spreading the Aloha by sharing these amazing 808 Shells with all of you, so you can pimp them in your hometown! A little piece of Hawai’i, where ever you are 🙂

Dan’s focus is on Apple products right now and plans to expand his inventory by creating [more] iPhone cases as well as iPod, iPad, and eventually tapping into the other tablets and smartphones down the road.

808 Shells are currently $30 each and always including shipping for U.S. and Canada Orders — how awesome and unheard of it that?!

If you follow me in Instagram (@JennsAdventures) you know I have been pimping my 808 Shells because you can see them in nearly every photo. Since being in Seattle I have been receiving so many compliments on my iPhone case, and people always want to know where I got it.

$30 is a reasonable price for the quality of the product–and installing/uninstalling is beyond easy (I was going to do a video, but you can just visit 808 Shells YouTube Channel). I cringe to even type this, but my cases have survived several drops… and you wouldn’t even know it because all three cases are still in excellent condition–as is my iPhone!

So.. have I sold you on 808 Shells yet?! How about I sweeten the deal by offering a giveaway to a lucky reader?

  1. I think these shells for phones are really unique and attractive. Definitely different and not what you see everyone else using. My favorite designs are the dolphin and the gecko, they are both great.
