Another Simple Workout

Before reading this post, please note I am not a health professional. I am blogging about my own experience and what I enjoy. For concerns about your own health and diet, consult your physician or dietician for specific advice.

If you thought last Thursday’s post was a simple work out, you have to notate this one! If you haven’t figured it out by now, I’m all about maximizing my time, and while I love working out and seek quality workouts — it’s because I hate wasting time, and more importantly lack time, I favor these.

Here’s the deal with this workout — it’s no more than 25 minutes, and it kicks.your.butt!

2-minute Punching Bag OR run/sprint
50 Squats with dumbbells
20 Lunges, each leg with dumbbells overhead
2-minute Punching Bag OR run/sprint
50 Plyometrics (squat, jump, bring knees up)
25 Curls with Dumbbells
30 Wide Dumbbell Rows
2-minute Hill Climbs (plank position, hike knees/legs up) <— killer!
50 Squats with Dumbbells
20 Lat. Raises
20 Front Raises
20 Rear Raises

Feel the BURN?!

I seriously love this workout because I can be a couch potato one minute, get a burst of energy the next minute–and do this workout! Who needs the gym?! Even if you don’t have dumbbells, you can still accomplish the above. You could even half it by breaking it up into two sets. I prefer to bust ass and get it over with though.

Do you ever feel guilty relaxing & end up doing some form of a workout?

  1. um, my abs hurt just reading this.

The other day after breakfast, instead of my usual walk around the apt. complexes I took my key to the fitness center.

I walked a loop (uphill) then headed to the get my fitness on. Jumped on the stationery bike for about 20 minutes.

It was so much better than just walking around in loops! But that's pretty much all the variety I get these days.
