About

Aloha Everyone ~ Welcome to Jenn’s Adventures!

As you may have guessed, my name is Jenn and I am the author behind Jenn’s Adventures:)

I have never been the best at writing an “About Me” for myself, but in a nutshell: I am a Christian, health-conscious serial entrepreneur, daughter, sister, girlfriend, friend, and Godmother to many! I am a very positive, ambitious individual with the prospective that the world is my playground…

I am a twenty-something, Maui Girl who has evolved into the modern day nomad! In 2005, I traded in Island life for the concrete jungle and lived in Southern California until 2009..

Torrey Pines

Looking back, I thoroughly enjoyed my time in California. I met awesome people, and was able to experience a lot–resulting in priceless memories and learning experiences I will forever be grateful for.

In 2009, I fell in love with a Southern Man, and he kidnapped charmed me all the way to Sweet Home Alabama…

War Eagle!

It was our adventures in God’s Country that my Mom suggested I start a journal documenting all the fun and often times crazy things that happened. Some events off the top of my head include being chased by giant relentless wasps, having Ratatouille as a roommate for awhile, Stallions getting loose on 40 acres while the boyfriend was at work, and learning how to operate a 70 year old tracker…

You can only imagine my disappointment when I learned The Pioneer Woman had already beat me to a blog!

Home for Christmas, and ringing in 2011, it was both exciting and heartbreaking for me. I decided I was going to stay on Maui

I had been away from family and friends for far too long, and wanted my life back in the islands. Of course, I also wanted my M.A.N. to stay, but he is finishing his Masters courtesy of his employer–can’t walk away from that no matter how breathtaking Maui is:)

On November 1st, 2011, my family-life was shook to the core…

A family medical emergency resulted in an abrupt move to Seattle, where we are [still] getting settled. Maui unfortunately lacks in medical, whereas Seattle is one of the top five places in the U.S.

It stings not to have been back for even a year, but a piece of my heart will always be in Hawai’i. I am thankful to at least be on the West Coast where non-stop flights are generally not a big deal and I can sneak away to see my friends and Godchildren:)

I am also excited to start a life here in the beautiful city of Seattle…

Part of this rooting here is also about starting over.

My carnivore family and I have transitioned to herbivores, and live a raw, vegan, soy-free, gluten-free, and sugar-free lifestyle. I have shared a little bit here, here, and here, and hope to share even more as time allows.

Regardless, life is an adventure–and I’d like to welcome you to mine! I hope you enjoy my never a dull moment life and healthy living, travel, and love adventures.
